Features include:
- Heart rate displayed as percentage of maximum heart rate, BPM, and average heart rate of total exercise
- Tracks your latest 16 training sessions and your last 16 weeks of training
- Visual and audible alarm in target zones: Informs you every time your heart rate and/or speed/pace exceeds the upper limit or falls below the lower limit of your target zone during a training session.
- Polar OwnIndex Fitness Test calculates aerobic fitness (comparable to maximal oxygen uptake, VO2max) providing a reference to base training intensity and measure improvement.
- Polar OwnCal: Shows your energy expenditure during one exercise session as well as your accumulated kilocalories during several exercise sessions. Because the OwnCal tracks both the energy expenditure during one exercise session and the accumulated kilocalories during a longer time e.g. one week, it helps in achieving both short term and long term goals.
- Time in Target Zone feature calculates the amount of total training time spent in your personal target zone. You can use this feature together with the Total Exercise Time to determine the effectiveness of your training program.
- Number of laps - 99
- Watch features: alarm with snooze, dual time zone, stopwatch
- Compatible with Polar FlowLink (available separately)
- Water resistant to 50 meters
- Backlighting, display zoom
- Event Countdown Timer: Keeps your motivation high by showing how many days are left before your next running event (e.g., Berlin 23 days).

More positives than negatives, June 27, 2010 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Polar RS300X Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Orange) (Sports) First, let me say that if you are interested in this heart rate monitor watch, it is probably because you will be using it mainly for the heart rate monitor. However, I would have liked to see a LITTLE more flexibility to use it as both a heart rate monitor AND a watch at the same time. Perhaps I haven't quite figured out how to easily switch between the clock and the actual timers, but it isn't a big deal if you don't mind that. It's certainly not a deal breaker by any means.
I haven't dug into the features too much at this point, but I have used it for over 30 sessions of weight lifting and running, and everything works really well. Some people have said there is interference at times, but I have yet to run into anything like that. I rinse it off after every workout, and even washed it in the washer once already. So far, the strap itself has worked pretty well, though I wish it would stay up a little more in the back. I have a wide back so I can't really blame the strap,... Read more

Polar RX300x Orange, April 5, 2011 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Polar RS300X Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Orange) (Sports) Well, it's been more than a month since I purchased this item and has worked well. The Polar wearlink is very confortable and can be adjusted to your chest size, plus you can change the battery yourself, not need to send it to polar factory. The instruction could be a little tricky but people learn more during practice than in theory. What I mean is, take your time to follow the booklet presing the different button and you will get everything in a very short time. For those who have experienced misreadout of your heart rates, it also happened to me. Sometimes I was doing easy cardio and my HRM would jump to 200 beats per minutes and I knew that was wrong, other times I would be doing really hard cardio and it would read zero 0. Well I read the trobleshooting portion of the instructions and it says that I must soak in water the wearlink and that I have to clean it everytime after use. I just run the wearlink under my faucet, dry with a towel a bit and that's it, it works perfect... Read more

Wear link Fails, July 12, 2011 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Polar RS300X Heart Rate Monitor Watch (Orange) (Sports) After using this HRM for about 2.5 months I started to have a lot of problems to link the wear link to the watch (I wash it as recommended in the instruction booklet). I have to get it soaked wet and try to start the stopwatch 4-5 times before it says "Signal Found". It's a nice device, when it works.
The beeps sound whenever they want. Sometimes it beeps when you start it, sometimes it doesn't. Same happens when navigating trough the menu. I expected a lot better from polar.
